The University of Washington’s Department of Pediatrics is now accepting applications for its Pediatric Injury Research Training Program (PIRTP), with new fellowship positions beginning in summer–fall 2026. Funded through a prestigious NICHD T‑32 grant, this two‑year post‑doctoral program provides advanced training for emerging scholars committed to improving pediatric injury outcomes.

PIRTP is seeking applicants with diverse perspectives, research interests, and lived experiences. The program has a particular interest in supporting Indigenous researchers and scholars focused on injury prevention among Indigenous children, reflecting a commitment to equity and community‑centered research.

Post‑doctoral scholars from all health professions, specialties, and injury‑related fields are encouraged to apply. Fellows will receive rigorous mentorship, interdisciplinary training, and opportunities to develop impactful research that advances the field of pediatric injury prevention.
