Sara Solomon, MPH, is the Deputy Director of the Penn Injury Science Center at the University of Pennsylvania. She serves as Co-Director and founder of the Penn Community Scholars Program (Penn CSP) and the REACH Initiative (Research & Equity in Academic-Community Partnerships for Health), two complementary training programs that build capacity and a bi-directional bridge between academics and community to partner in community-based participatory research. She is an Instructor for the Master of Public Health (MPH) Program and have taught Public Health Methods, a core MPH course, for the past 7 years, and an elective course that I developed for the past 3 years: Leadership and Management in Public Health. Finally, Ishe is the Board Chair of a developing grassroots organization, Young Chances Foundation, where she applies her expertise in implementation science. My primary research focuses on advancing the study and implementation of community-engaged research to optimize population-level health outcomes in underrepresented communities that have faced concentrated disadvantage and related health consequences.
