A Special Congratulations to SAVIR Member Keshia Pollack Porter
Johns Hopkins University has announced that Keshia M. Pollack Porter, Bloomberg Centennial Chair and Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management, has been named the 12th dean of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, effective August 1, 2025 .A highly regarded injury epidemiologist and health policy expert, she has been a faculty member at the School since 2006 and previously served as vice dean for faculty and chair of the Department of Health Policy and Management.
Dean Pollack Porter has authored over 200 peer‑reviewed publications, led federally funded research, and advanced policies to promote safe, equitable environments through partnerships with the CDC, National Academies, and Bloomberg Philanthropies. She is widely recognized for her work integrating research into public health policy and practice
University leadership praised her ability to honor the Bloomberg School’s legacy while guiding it toward innovation and impact. Pollack Porter expressed profound excitement about leading the school and collaborating with faculty, students, alumni, and communities to advance public health’s mission.
