Consensus Workshop at SAVIR 2025

SAVIR is hosting a Consensus Workshop at SAVIR 2025 annual conference:

Title: Shaping the Future of Injury Prevention: A Consensus-Driven Research Agenda

Description: Investments in injury and violence prevention research stand to impact more children and adolescents than any other health topic, as injury and violence persist as the top leading causes of death and disability at every stage of childhood after the first year. Yet there is a notable lack of NIH FOAs/RFAs and study sections devoted to injury and violence topics. Participants of the Consensus Workshop will have the opportunity to give feedback on a drafted SAVIR consensus statement related to priority areas of injury and violence and the lack of research funding. The primary deliverable of this meeting will be a column published in Injury Prevention, presenting the SAVIR consensus statement on priority injury and violence areas and calls for funding
