Find SAVIR in Washington, D.C. This March
This March, SAVIR is heading to the nation’s capital — and we’d love to see you there.
Executive Director Christen Rexing and Managing Director Sara Brandspigel will be exhibiting at the annual meeting of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH), taking place March 18–20. They’ll be on the floor sharing SAVIR’s injury and violence prevention (IVP) teaching resources with attendees, so if you’re at the conference, please stop by and say hello.
But the D.C. action doesn’t stop there. Christen and Sara will also be representing SAVIR and the broader IVP research community at the Annual Injury and Violence Prevention Network Hill Day and in-person meeting. And in a tradition that’s become a highlight of the event, Christen is once again bringing her graduate public health students to the Hill — a powerful reminder of why this advocacy work matters.
We hope to see you on the Hill. If you won’t be in D.C., we encourage you to pick up the phone and contact your lawmakers. Share your research, tell them about its impact on communities, and remind them why injury and violence prevention deserves their attention and support.
