During this interactive panel discussion moderated by Emmy Betz, MD, MPH, attendees will learn more about opportunities to engage in prevention work with military populations, using suicide prevention as a featured example. This session will highlight how practitioners and researchers can work to reduce injuries and violence in collaboration with military partners.

Speakers will provide a peek “behind the curtain” of the military infrastructure related to public health practice and research. Attendees will gain an understanding of the demographics and structures that impact military health outcomes and how public health related policy is set in military branches and installations.
