Everything is Public Health Podcast
Cass Crifasi, SAVIR President, Co-Executive Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions started a podcast in 2021 because she realized that so many people didn’t really understand what public health is. Sure, folks understood vaccines, clean water, healthy food… at least to a certain extent, but many folks didn’t realize how public health truly influences everything. From car and roadway design to violence prevention to fireworks, our podcast aims to help folks learn that public health is for everyone and everything is public health.
New Health Comm Podcast: Communications Breakdown
In a media-saturated world, communication skills have never been more important as we try to reach audiences, craft messages, and convey complex information that could save or improve lives. Communications Breakdown is a new podcast that connects listeners with what works (and doesn’t) in research translation, public health campaign strategy, social media, graphic design, and much more. With decades of experience taking health communication from idea to evidence-based outreach, hosts Tracy Mehan and Katrina Boylan break down lessons learned, discuss emerging topics and new research, and offer practical tips (along with some fun stuff, too).
Communications Breakdown is available on Apple, Spotify, Amazon, YouTube, and Buzzsprout.
