Nominate Yourself or a Colleague for the SAVIR Fellows Program — 2026 Call Now Open
The Society for the Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR) is accepting nominations for the SAVIR Fellows Program, which honors members who have made substantial, sustained contributions to injury and violence prevention (IVP) research and to the society.
Who is eligible? Nominees must have at least five years of active SAVIR membership and a demonstrated record of contributions to IVP research and to the society. Student membership years count toward the five-year requirement.
What’s new this cycle? The 2026 call features a refreshed, more transparent nomination process. Nominations are now evaluated on two scored domains — significant contributions to IVP (up to 50 points) and service to SAVIR (up to 50 points) — and nominators are asked to address each domain directly in a structured statement of no more than two pages.
Fellows receive formal recognition at the 2027 annual conference, listing on the SAVIR website, use of the post-nominal title “Fellow of SAVIR,” and opportunities for leadership and mentorship within the society.
The deadline to submit nominations is September 1, 2026. All materials are submitted through the SAVIR Nomination Portal (member login required).
