Research Funding in the Current Environment: Panel of Funders

The scientific funding landscape continues to shift beneath our feet. As we bring scientists together at SAVIR, this session will foster an open dialogue with researchers and funders to share knowledge, share space, and see how we can work together to ensure strong science continues. This panel will feature individuals from foundation and philanthropic organizations to discuss the future of injury and violence research funding in a moderated panel with audience Q&A, fostering the sharing of knowledge, opportunities, challenges, and other perspectives.

Moderated by Shannon Frattaroli, PhD, MPH, a Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, the Director the Center for Injury Research and Policy, and a core faculty member with the Center for Gun Violence Solutions. Her research and teaching focus on policy strategies for preventing injury and violence.
