Scholarship for Unintentional Childhood Injury Research

The Safe Kids/SAVIR Scholarship for Unintentional Childhood Injury Research is a new scholarship opportunity established in 2025 to help build the capacity of new injury researchers with a focus on unintentional childhood injury.

Unintentional injuries tragically devastate families and communities by causing death or serious harm to children, remaining a major cause of mortality among U.S. youth; despite existing interventions, more research, especially on implementation and equity, is crucial. Recognizing declining funding for this area, a scholarship aims to support doctoral students researching childhood injury prevention, providing project funding, and conference attendance at PrevCon 2025 and SAVIR 2026, with award amounts varying based on available resources and applicants.
