Welcoming Nancy Weaver, PhD, MPH to SAVIR
SAVIR is delighted to welcome Nancy Weaver, PhD, MPH as our newest member! Using a systems lens, Dr. Weaver grounds her research, teaching, and practice in the rigor of the scientific approach, the art of storytelling and the fundamental value of connection across people and sectors. Working at the intersection of statistics, behavioral science, community engagement and improvisation, Dr. Weaver is an acclaimed scholar, speaker, and educator. Her research in the area of child welfare has been funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and widely disseminated to nurture the growth of all kids and adults using strength-based approaches. She is especially gifted in guiding transdisciplinary teams to maximize their innovation and impact.
Dr. Weaver consults in the areas of messaging, community and team engagement, teacher training, strategic planning and public health program design and evaluation. She is the founder and executive director of Support Over Silence, LLC, and a professor of public health at Saint Louis University.
