Safe States Alliance is hiring an Injury and Violence Prevention (IVP) Health Equity Training Intern.

Position type: Part-Time (10-12 hours per week), Temporary (February to June 2025)
Location: Remote
Compensation: $3,000 stipend
Under the supervision of the Safe States Alliance Manager of Programs and Health Equity, the IVP Health Equity Training Intern will be responsible for assisting with the Project ECHO virtual training series. The ECHO Model is a training approach that combines short didactic presentations with peer discussions
and case-based learning. Safe States is implementing an ECHO for Injury and Violence Prevention Practitioners to learn the fundamentals of integrating equity into their work.
Specific duties include:
• Provide overall meeting support and notetaking;
• Assist with the review of IVP equity case study examples;
• Research additional IVP equity resources and tools as needed; and
• Provide overall project assistance and follow-up.
Skills & Qualifications: A successful applicant for this position is adaptable, self-motivated, and willing to learn. The applicant
should possess the following skills/qualifications:
• Enrolled in a public health program at an accredited college or university;
• Public health/and or injury and violence prevention knowledge and experience a plus;
• Basic knowledge of health equity principles; • Experience leading or supporting virtual webinars or trainings; and
• Strong organizational skills, good attention to detail, and excellent oral/written communication
skills.
