Lightning Plenary Abstracts provide leaders and innovators in the field with a fast-paced opportunity to highlight impactful, innovative, and cross-cutting ideas and concepts that may not be suitable for a traditional oral presentation. Submitters are encouraged to THINK BIG! Lightning Plenary presentations will be very short, lasting only 5-7 minutes each, and are meant to help spark new discussions and collaborations throughout the conference on a multitude of topics of importance across the injury and violence field.
The conference will have two end-of-day 1-hour-long sessions with Lightning Plenary presentations, with 8-9 presentations per session on varying ideas and concepts. Lightning Plenary presenters are encouraged to match the number of slides with the 5-7-minute length of their presentation (at a rate of approximately 1 slide/minute). The main goal of these Lightning Plenary presentations is to provide bite-sized but mighty insights into ambitious and forward-thinking ideas and concepts that can have transformative impacts on the science and practice of preventing and treating injury and violence.
