Call for Papers: Youth Self-Injury Research Collection
Researchers are invited to submit manuscripts to a new Injury Epidemiology Collection on “Emerging risk factors for self-injury in youth in the current milieu of growing mental health crisis.”
This Collection seeks research that advances understanding of the evolving factors contributing to self-injury among youth and informs prevention, intervention, and policy.

Published by BMC, Injury Epidemiology has a 5-year impact factor of 2.4, and journal articles were downloaded more than 630,000 times in 2025.
All submissions will be considered through the journal’s standard editorial and peer review process. As an Open Access journal, article processing charges apply, though some authors may be eligible for fee coverage or discounts through institutional agreements.
