Cassandra (Cass) Crifasi, PhD, MPH named one of the Baltimore Sun’s 25 Women to Watch for 2026!
Each year, The Baltimore Sun honors 25 women in the Baltimore area for their dedication to improving lives in our community. This year, we are proud to celebrate Cass Crifasi, PhD, MPH, of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, who was selected for her work addressing gun violence as a public health issue.
From The Baltimore Sun:
While pursuing her Master of Public Health to strengthen her medical school application, Cass became fascinated with injury prevention rather than repair. “I thought it was amazing that you could keep people from getting hurt in the first place rather than fixing them afterward,” she said.
We are grateful for Cass’s work as a researcher and leader, advancing evidence-based policies and programs that reduce violence and make our communities safer.
Please join us in congratulating her!
