We’re heading to Providence, Rhode Island!
In April 2026, the Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR) will host our annual conference in partnership with the Rhode Island Hospital Injury Control Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE). This event will bring together over 400 of the nation’s leading researchers, students, and practitioners in injury and violence prevention to share knowledge, build partnerships, and shape the future of the field.
As part of our conference, we’re inviting SAVIR members and partners, and local businesses to support our mission through participation in our Silent Auction.
Why donate?
SAVIR is a small national nonprofit organization with a big impact. Our members are on the frontlines of issues that affect every community—overdose prevention, suicide, falls, traumatic brain injury, and traffic safety. SAVIR promotes evidence-based policies, supports collaboration between research and practice, and helps train the next generation of injury prevention leaders.
By donating an item or experience to our silent auction, you’re helping to support these vital efforts and putting your organization, name or business in front of hundreds of attendees who will be in town and eager to explore Providence.
What kind of items can you donate?
We’re especially looking for experiences or items that showcase our members talents or the best of the region—things like:
- Art or handmade items
- Vacation home stays
- Local tours or experiences
- Restaurant gift cards or tasting menus
- Tickets to performances or events
- Unique products from your local area
- Hotel stays or spa services
Your donation will be featured on our online auction platform, which opens before the conference and is shared widely with attendees. It’s a great opportunity to support a good cause and get exposure to a national audience.
