VA Advanced Fellowship in Addiction Treatment

The VA Advanced Fellowship in Addiction Treatment is actively recruiting applicants

The Fellowship provides 2 years of post-graduate training to master’s and doctoral-level health care providers (e.g., physicians, psychologists, pharmacists, nurses, social workers) and doctoral level research scientists (e.g., epidemiologist, sociologists). Trainees receive 75% protected time for academic pursuits (research, QI and other scholarship), individually tailored to their area of interest and career goals and guided by mentors of national stature. Fellows spend 25% time providing clinical care or in clinically-focused quality improvement activities. Training is full-time at one of 10 program sites. Program sites are located at Veterans Health Administration (VA) Medical Centers across the country (Ann Arbor MI; Boston MA; Houston TX; Los Angeles CA; Madison WI; Palo Alto CA; Pittsburgh PA; Salt Lake City UT; San Diego CA; and West Haven CT). Trainees across all 10 sites develop a learning community through a national curriculum focused on professional development.
